The hotel was well‑located, but I booked four nights, stayed only three, and the fourth night wasn’t refunded. I had planned a night at a nice hotel with a friend, left early, but the owner didn’t refund the night I didn’t stay, and I didn’t want to ask because I thought she’d be kind—unlike other places that gave me a small refund. It was the only place I stayed.

“Un hôtel agréable”

The location was fantastic—right in the center of Sapa, just steps from the church, downtown, bars, restaurants, and a self‑service laundry. The bathroom was functional, the bedding was good, and the air‑conditioning worked well. Because of the spot, it was a bit noisy early in the morning. The rooms were spacious but needed a freshening up and were slightly damp; it’s best to air them out when you’re not there if possible. Water pressure was spotty, I saw two cockroaches over four days, housekeeping cleaned daily but rushed, and breakfast was a local spread with unpredictable hours—check the schedule the night before.

The staff were attentive and the location is superb, and the on‑site restaurant is great 👍🏿. I enjoyed a fantastic view of SaPa Square. However, my room lacked a wardrobe, though there were plenty of hooks and hangers. The building couldn’t control the loud music from the cultural center on a few evenings; the speakers were cranked up to the max and my balcony windows rattled, but the event times stayed within limits.

“Friendly staff good budget”

The property was spotless and the staff were friendly. The only issue was a broken light bulb in the bathroom.

The location is very convenient, beautiful, and close to the markets. The room odors were exhausting.
