The view from the room and the breakfast area overlooks the sea. The staff were friendly. Breakfast and the infinity pool were great. There was no air‑conditioning in the room, so it was very hot at night and I couldn’t sleep well.

The hotel sits in a gorgeous spot off the beaten path, offering stunning views and top‑class service, but hauling our bags up and down was a workout 😅.

The breakfasts were fantastic, with a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and the kitchen staff always making freshly squeezed juice; they also brewed coffee or tea exactly as we requested and asked how we wanted our eggs cooked, which was very convenient. On a few early‑departure days we asked them to prepare sandwiches in advance and they happily obliged. The location was a major draw: from the terrace and the beautiful swimming pool we could watch some of the most amazing sunsets in Madeira, and a lovely restaurant just below the hotel let us dine while watching the sunset—booking a table there in advance is a good idea. The island was reachable in about 45–50 minutes by car, which was very convenient for us. What we liked less: even with two fans, the room could feel warm and stuffy, especially with the windows open; keeping them open made it easy for people walking past to see inside, so a bit more privacy would have helped. The room was also a little small, especially for a longer stay, and there was very little or sometimes no suitable place to dry clothes after washing or swimming; a simple drying rack or line near the room would have been useful.

Unsere private Villa mit eigenem Pool und Terasse war atemberaubend. Der Blick auf unseren Bereich war versperrt also waren wir wirklich komplett ungestört. Es war wirklich magisch. Der Weg ist etwas beschwerlich und die Zimmer hätten eine Klimaanlage vertragen. Außerdem gefiel uns nicht, dass die Küche eigentlich gar keine Küche war. Kochen kann man hier nicht

colazione ottima, la vista da Escarpa è impagabile. Tutto perfetto! forse la salita per raggiungere la struttura, con i bagagli è un po' ripida, ma fa di questo posto un posto speciale, solo per adulti, dove rilassarsi e godersi il piacere del panorama
