Every morning after waking up we enjoyed a gorgeous view of the garden and Stift Göttweig, followed by a tasty a la carte breakfast; as a guest we were pampered by the Sonnleitner family, and in the evening we could indulge in a multi‑course menu.

This small family‑run hotel offers lovely hill views, a very comfortable room with good air conditioning, and a natural pool for swimming. We had a four‑course wine‑pairing dinner that was a treat—expensive but worth it. The next morning we enjoyed more delicious breakfast, which was included in our room rate. They also provide bicycle storage, though it can get a bit pricey if you don’t check what’s included.

The Sonnleiter couple are outstanding hosts, and the small hotel offers cozy rooms. The real highlight is the large garden with a natural pool where we loved swimming. Breakfast was ordered from the extensive menu and freshly prepared. We were very pampered. As active travelers, we were a bit disappointed that breakfast started at 8:00 am, which we hadn’t noticed when booking, so no criticism of the Sonnleiter family.
