There was no breakfast and the owner did not disclose it on the current website even though she knew it had not been available for about a year according to the conversation I had with her. The evening before we left the owner came by that evening to ask if everything was good and a conversation started that was somewhat political, I said that I had voted for our current president and she immediately stated what a horrible human being he is in very colorful words and that she would never ever sit at the same table or rent to an individual that voted for him. For a minute I felt like we might be kicked out of our rental that night with nowhere to go. Pretty upsetting and shocked to say the least that a host would even say that to a guest

“Beautiful peaceful stay with a super friendly host Caterina.”

Beautiful Casa in the rural Alentejo countryside. It was fine for us, but usually the whole space is rented to large groups. We had the house so had access to a kitchen and cooking facilities. You do need a car to stay here

Our stay was short but definitely 5 stars. The house, in addition to being decorated with great care and taste, had all the necessary amenities (except hair towels ;) ) and allowed privacy for all couples during the stay. The enclosure of the house allowed us to enjoy it with immense tranquility! Unfortunately we could not try the famed breakfasts of the host, but she explained that she had not served them since October. Maybe next time! :) Thank you for the hospitality!

Our stay at Casa do Montinho was simply wonderful. We loved everything: the house, the facilities, the location, and of course the host. What we see in the photos is exactly what we found—no deception at all. On the contrary, the accommodation surpassed all our expectations. The cleanliness of the entire house, the natural scent, the décor, all the art and every detail make this space truly special. One of the little touches that the kids especially enjoyed was, without a doubt, the mezzanine in the rooms and the saltwater pool! It was a real surprise for them and made the stay even more special and fun. For us, the location was exactly what we were looking for: a quiet village where calm and serenity are felt, yet with excellent restaurants nearby and great culinary options. The house is fully self‑contained and has a complete, exclusive kitchen, which gave us full privacy and comfort. Catarina, the host, is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Even though we didn't need assistance during our stay, we always felt her availability and genuine concern to provide an excellent experience. Communicating with her was very easy. We loved our stay at Casa do Montinho and it has become, without doubt, a must‑stop for us. We will return, as we found a very special corner here. We highly recommend it and hope to come back soon!

Cozy house, perfect for a weekend with friends! The AC units had a problem and the upper rooms were very hot, but we managed to solve the issue.
