The staff were genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately the room itself left a lot to be desired – there were no towel hooks and cobwebs everywhere. I wish the furnishings had been better maintained.

Breakfast was simple and tasty, even though I was the only guest around. The hotel really caters to cyclists with a large locked storage room, a bike‑wash station and a small workshop. The on‑site restaurant served nicely prepared dishes, including homemade cheese, which was a pleasant surprise.

The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The only downside was that there was no hair dryer in the bathroom.

This place is perfect for cyclists, just a short ride from the trails, and the owners are welcoming. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served decent meals too. I wish there had been a kettle in the room for hot drinks.
