The overall atmosphere was great, the owner was friendly and went the extra mile. The old building was tastefully restored by hand, the facilities were well maintained, and the bed slept well. The hotel is on a fairly busy road, so sleeping with the windows open, as I like to do, isn’t possible.

This former hotel has been restored by a couple who run the community café and keep the village of Lacelle (between Eymoutiers and Bugeat) lively. The welcome and atmosphere are friendly, the room is comfortable (Wi‑Fi but no TV), but you’ll probably want to picnic because the kitchen available is the owners’ own. It’s a good way to keep the café and hotel alive.
