“Oase der Gastfreundschaft in den Hutongs”
The hotel sits close to a modernized pedestrian zone with restaurants, western bakeries, and cafés, and the subway is nearby, yet it remains very quiet. The rooms are well-designed with many details, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful with all our questions. They prepared a lovely breakfast each morning with fresh dumplings, two kinds of fruit, croissants, and other treats, and the espresso machine made excellent coffee. The only downside was the occasional sewage smell, and in the loft room under the roof the air from the open window didn’t rise well, making it a bit warm at night—just a minor issue.
