Just an hour out of Lisbon, this place stands out because it sits in a quiet spot with an amazing view of the Serra de Montejunto. It was the perfect setting for a calm, relaxing weekend. The accommodation matched the listing exactly, and the bed was especially comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and all the kitchen equipment we needed was available. The owners were very friendly and attentive, welcoming us warmly. The only downside was the flies – a lot of them would swarm the apartment whenever we opened a door or window. I don’t blame anyone; it’s hard to control that, but the house did have sprays and other tools to help. I also felt it wasn’t clear in the description that the apartment/suite was in a family house, though we still had full privacy, even with the pool, so that wasn’t an issue.
