The view, the pool, breakfast, and service were all good. Breakfast was excellent, varied, and high quality. The pool was wonderful, clean, and had a river view. The room in question needs some maintenance—nothing serious, but there are some peeling walls and a raised floor, which, given the size, would be worthwhile touch‑ups.

The garden was charming and well‑maintained. The breakfast spread was small but tasty, though anyone wanting milk for coffee had to wait in vain. We booked a deluxe room with a river view and terrace, yet the host handed us a standard room (Room 7) without comment. The front desk said the booked category was unavailable and offered us Room 4 instead, which was smaller, had no river view but a terrace, so we moved there. Suddenly, they couldn’t speak English anymore. No compensation was offered, and the host promised to contact Booking, but didn’t. Booking later informed us that no agreement could be reached with the host. Other issues: minor repairs overdue, the room door handle fell off, long waits at reception, and twice in the evening on the terrace we were sprayed by the gardener. During breakfast, the host was asked by three guests about missing milk, pointed to a table that unfortunately had none.
