The first room in the main building had a strong odor. After the first night I was moved to a standard bungalow, which felt much cleaner and more pleasant. Service at the beach bar was almost nonexistent; you had to handle everything yourself and keep going to the bar each time to get the menu, place an order, or ask for new drinks. Cleaning didn’t happen in between either.

The grounds are gorgeous, breakfast is excellent, the beach is beautiful, and the pool is superb. The water pressure was low, there was no television, and the bed creaked.

Security is tight with many guards on duty day and night, plenty of CCTV, a 24‑hour WhatsApp support line, and genuinely friendly, efficient English‑speaking staff. The owners and managers are forward‑thinking and dedicated; Sea Star is one of the oldest family‑run businesses on Phu Quoc, celebrating its 20th anniversary. The staff truly enjoy their jobs, and you can feel the genuine warmth of a family atmosphere. It’s the ideal place to meet your needs for health, peace of mind, and aesthetic pleasure. Highly recommended for sophisticated solo travelers. Nothing was lacking.

One of the best hotels in terms of price‑quality, great location. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfasts are excellent, tasty, and varied. The staff are responsive. We’ll definitely come back.
