“Good location, good price, friendly staff, highly recommended”

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was almost refurbished, and although the balcony offered little view, the room was spacious and the bathroom was good. We liked the small café downstairs by reception near the hotel’s location to the Grand Palace. The only downside was ongoing refurbishment work; the noise only happened during working hours, so it wasn’t too disruptive. The hotel’s info said it was a 10‑minute walk to the Grand Palace, but it actually took about 40 to 45 minutes.

The place is well situated, the staff are nice, and it was very clean. The only downside was the €50 deposit that had to be left (it can also be paid in Bath or USD); it’s not a huge issue but it can be annoying, especially if you’re checking out late at night.
