The staff were friendly, but there is no lift and the stairs are super steep; any elderly person or someone with mobility issues should stay away. I almost fell many times and tripped a couple times, so I cut my stay short because of the danger.

The receptionist gave a warm welcome, but for me and my injured knee there were too many stairs to reach my room, and no elevator was available. The drink prices were outrageous: I had to pay 80 THB for a small beer, while at a better restaurant I paid 65 THB for a big bottle of the same beer.

The staff were friendly and the location was pretty good. I got a larger room at no extra charge, and it was quiet enough to feel a touch of French ambiance. The only downside was a rodent that ran up the stairs—something I’d never seen in Thailand, and it could frighten people with phobias. The rooms and furniture felt a bit worn.
