“Lovely bed”

“Beautiful place if you do not have any specific need.”

The location was great. The staff, however, were completely unhelpful: 1) the room opened at 17:00, and I couldn’t drop my luggage earlier; 2) when we asked for nearby restaurant suggestions, they gave three that were all closed; 3) we requested breakfast half an hour before its start time (after 8:00 on a Monday), and that was denied. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was nice, but the staff’s rigidity made the stay far less enjoyable than it could have been.

Central spot, paid parking right next door, and it was very quiet. Check‑in only between 5 and 7 pm, so everyone arrives at 5 pm. There was just one staff member who didn’t have a computer at the desk, so he kept leaving to verify payments in other rooms. He simply told us “your room is upstairs.” We climbed the stairs (no lift) and found four doors—no idea which was ours. The toilet was a separate room with no sink to wash hands, and the high window let in cold air above the toilet. Someone would have to climb up to close it for the night, but no staff were available after 6:50 pm. There were no sheer curtains; only wide open or heavy black curtains. An empty crystal bonbon jar sat on the table—why? It could have been a nice treat for guests. Milk for tea would also be nice in the room.

“Perfect”

I’ve stayed here again and it’s still a calm, cozy spot – welcoming, clean, roomy, and the breakfast is a treat, thanks.
