The hotel was crowded and the room was awful. It was too cramped, the lighting was poor, there was no comfortable seating, the TV was low‑quality and difficult to use, the walk from the lobby to the room was too long, and parking was insufficient.

I’m utterly frustrated and disappointed with how the hotel handled my refund. It’s been a month since I checked out and I still haven’t received my deposit back. When I checked in, my credit card didn’t work for the deposit, so I was told to use my debit card instead and I paid the required amount. At checkout I had to remind the staff to return the deposit because they never explained what I needed to do. After following up, they told me to email them and give my mailing address so they could send me a cheque. I did exactly that, but I’ve received no response or cheque. It’s been a whole month. I shouldn’t have to chase a hotel for my own money. If there was a problem sending the cheque, they should have contacted me and explained it. Instead, I’ve been left waiting with no communication. I followed every instruction they gave me—sent the email, gave my address, and waited patiently—yet there’s still been no reply. This is terrible customer service. A hotel should have a proper system for deposits and refunds, and guests shouldn’t have to spend weeks trying to get their money back. I’m asking management to look into this and process my refund immediately. One month is more than enough time to resolve a deposit refund. Very disappointing, especially because the issue could have been resolved with proper communication and follow‑through.

“Management really have to sit up”

The room wasn’t suitable because the curtains were torn, the furniture was damaged, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The smell was poor and pungent.
