“Exceptional”

We were headed to Ushguli and stumbled upon this fantastic homestay; the room was warm, tidy, and cozy. The bathroom lies just outside our room and offers a nice hot shower. Guests can use the kitchen, which is well‑equipped. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, so we strongly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

“We voelden ons heerlijk thuis”

The hospitality from Lasha, his girlfriend Anna and his parents was incredible. We arrived in bad weather, yet they took us to the local springs. Because lunch was included, they served something to eat right away at no extra cost. For a small fee we enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast. As is common in Georgia, there was plenty. The common area was very cozy in the evening with other guests. While drinking the wine they gave us with the meal, we had good conversations with the hosts. Lasha also taught us the addictive back‑gammon. After the overnight stay, the host drove us to Mestia. He is a safe driver who can also tell us a lot about his country and the region. Highly recommended. The weather on arrival was awful (happens in the mountains). That was also a bit strange with the rushing river.

The area was very beautiful with an amazing view and the hosts were incredibly friendly and lovely. Totally recommend.
