“Magical jungle immersion for nature lovers”

Yatama feels like a home for wild creatures, with guests as the visitors. The cabins sit in the jungle, linked by boardwalks to common areas and hiking trails. They’re well built, private, very clean, and comfortable, letting you experience the scents and sounds of nature. The common areas are beautiful and airy. The food and coffee were good and nicely presented. Pedro is very knowledgeable and considerate, adding a personal touch. Yatama is family‑friendly and ideal for nature lovers who want to learn more. We thoroughly enjoyed hiking alone through the lovingly tended jungle, but we wish we had stayed longer—two nights was just a taste.

“Sehr empfehlenswert!”

A truly exceptional place. We drove to the designated parking spot and were then picked up. Even with 4‑wheel drive we couldn't handle the final stretch of road. The stay was a fantastic experience, but one must always remember that the lodge sits right in the middle of a tropical forest, so spiders and ants are unavoidable.

Being in the middle of the tropical forest, the meals and the guided tour were great. The stay was incredible, but the location is hard to reach, so if you’re staying for several days you might want to avoid planning activities elsewhere.

A magnificent stay in the heart of the forest! We had an amazing time, the lodges were comfortable, the food was delicious and suitable, and the suggested walks were very enjoyable.

“Trip of a lifetime”

What an incredible experience! This rainforest was turned from grazing land into a beautiful reserve where you’re surrounded by all kinds of wildlife. The staff are brilliant and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. Sure, it rained a lot—what can you expect in a rainforest? As others have mentioned, you park at a nearby farm and a lodge 4x4 will pick you up; don’t try to drive the whole way yourself. You can easily message Pedro on WhatsApp to arrange the pickup. Once you arrive they provide everything you need: comfy beds, clean towels, guided tours, rubber boots, a walking stick, and somehow also really, really amazing meals. Bring socks, long pants, bug spray, a few great books, and curiosity about the rainforest. If you hate rain or wildlife, this may not be the place for you. It could not have been better.
