“A wonderful place to start and end the loop”

We had a great night at NoMadders before and after our Ha Giang Loop, booked the easy rider trip with Ross via WhatsApp beforehand, and our group of nine amazing people (plus their drivers) was solid. Except for the group leader, the drivers spoke little English, but we managed through app translators; they were safe and friendly, and we avoided the tourist crowds for most of the four‑day tour. The hotel is set apart from the city, a peaceful spot with a tasty onsite menu. The main drawback is that much of the loop depends on roads and weather; it would help to set expectations at departure with an overview or info sheet. The tour leader was lovely, though we sometimes wished for deeper insights into the places we visited.

The hostel is very pretty, very pleasant for resting because the private rooms and common areas are very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, even arranging a taxi from the bus station to the hostel. The owner is very sociable and pleasant. 10/10 place.

The welcome was perfect, the staff friendly and attentive. The meals and breakfasts offered are very good and reasonably priced. The rooms and dorms are very pleasant, and the setting is peaceful, ideal for a good rest.

The staff were helpful in everything, both by phone before traveling to Vietnam and at the hostel for booking transport. The Ha Giang Loop is crowded with tourists, but NoMadders guides try to avoid packed sites, viewpoints, and restaurants, which is greatly appreciated. The only downside is that it is far from town, but that allows better rest at night.
