The breakfasts were excellent, and Etel prepared a variety of nutritious dishes. The house was very clean, and Etel was a wonderful hostess who made us feel safe. I was expecting a queen‑size bed, but it turned out to be a full‑size. The TV in the room had a cable/satellite signal that took at least 15 minutes to “warm” up, and we only had four channels that didn’t interest us. It would have been nice if bottled water had been provided.

Location was good, walking distance from Harper's Ferry. Breaksfast could not be served earlier than 08.30 am, which is very late if you plan to do a serious hike hike in the mountains. Room was quite noisy, we heard people walk on the wooden ceiling above our heads, Owner was not very forthcoming with simple requests, like getting warm milk to add to the coffee. Breakfast was disappointing

It’s a beautiful home in a very convenient spot, just short walks to both ends of Harper’s Ferry. Etel is a warm and gracious host. My room was cozy and elegantly decorated.
