“PEU FAIRE MIEUX.”

A nice spot, just an 8‑minute walk from the west entrance of the Ballenberg museum and a 15‑minute drive to Brienz. The chalet‑style hotel had been carefully renovated, and my room was clean, bright, and came with a balcony or terrace. Parking at the base of the building was convenient. Breakfast was good in a charming, traditional room, and the staff were polite and efficient. The lobby on the upper floor offered both hot and cold drinks, and the elevator worked well. On arrival, no one greeted us; the key was left on the counter without a welcome note or any explanation. Two electric‑car charging stations are 800 metres away, which is a bit inconvenient. The restaurant food was mediocre and greasy, and the TV in the room was tiny. Sound insulation was poor – you could hear people upstairs and in the corridor. From 8:30 am onward, there were constant, noisy military aircraft flights. It’s expensive, but that’s Switzerland.
