The reception and staff were friendly and hospitable, with Didi during the day and Daniel at night. We stayed on the basement floor, so this particular room was quite small.

The location is good and the staff are helpful. The rooms are very, very small, not sound‑proof, and I can hear people opening and closing their doors at any time.

Everything was really special, especially the receptionists Vensent and Gijs and the others. The only issue was the stairs.

The front desk, cleaning and maintenance staff were very kind. The reception has a microwave/oven, dishes, cutlery, tea and coffee you can use anytime. The room is basic but perfect and very clean. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. In the shower there’s shower gel and hand gel. After three days they changed the towels. Extra cleaning is available if you ask. I liked that there was a mini balcony and because the ceiling was high there was a lot of light and it was bright. The curtains block all the light at night. It’s in central Amsterdam, 5 minutes on foot from the metro and other public transport. Supermarkets are 5 minutes away and there are good bars and restaurants. Because of my age it wasn’t easy to climb the stairs, but if you ask they’ll help you lift your luggage. In Amsterdam it’s normal to find buildings with stairs like this; the building is over 200 years old.

The location and price are good. The beds are uncomfortable, the room is very cold inside, and the hotel is very noisy so I couldn’t sleep for two days.
