The hotel's location was fantastic, but unfortunately, the building itself had a pretty serious issue with musty and moldy walls.

The public areas provided coffee, green tea and biscuits, offering good value for money. However, the bathroom, toilet and shower all had a foul odor, probably due to old plumbing.
The place sits right in Ximen, so it’s handy for getting around, though solo travelers should stay alert at night; there are snacks by the front desk and the lobby feels cozy, and the staff were friendly—when the TV stopped working they fixed it quickly; this was my second visit and overall it was great, but a few things might bother you: the sink is right next to a table so a clumsy guest could easily splash water, and this time I noticed a small leak by the bathroom wall after a shower (nothing serious, just be a bit careful).
