Located in the centre of Wells, England's Smallest City, The White Hart Inn is a 15th Century inn with 15 en suite bedrooms featuring king or super king beds, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, and bathroom amenities. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from Cathedral Green and Bishops Palace, and within walking distance to long stay car parks. A Grade 2 listed building, it serves fresh, locally sourced meals in its reopened kitchen.

The room was excellent—a converted stable block—far enough from the pub for quiet and privacy. The pub opposite the cathedral entrance had a nice atmosphere and good food. Breakfast was nice but not the best.

The location was wonderful. The bathroom sink was blocked, the over‑bath shower was unusable, rust was coming out of the bath taps, the room was airless, dusty, and smelly, and the bed was listed to one side. I was given cash & carry humus from a plastic bottle instead of smashed avocado, and the sausages were deep fried.

The staff were great, the location was good, the bed was comfy, and the cooked breakfast was really good. The room was cold and the shower needed updating.

The position was nice. Breakfast was not the best: we ran out of hash browns and the black pudding was forgotten on the plate; they only had half a bottle of orange juice, items you can get at the supermarket. They also ran out of fish and chips the night before at 6 pm, showing poor planning.
