Azambezi River Lodge sits on the Zambezi River’s edge, just 350 m from the cruise terminal, offering riverfront rooms with private bathrooms, flat‑screen TVs and optional seating areas. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, complimentary parking, two on‑site restaurants, a bar with river views, an outdoor pool, a jetty for cruises, and a gift shop. The Victoria Falls Visitor Centre lies 5.5 km away.

The spot by the river is nice, with a beautiful garden where warthogs wander, but the room needs a makeover and cleanliness is lacking, and the price paid is far too high for the room.

The view of the Zambezi River is amazing with great sunset sights, yet after paying USD 400 a night for a double room I expected better upkeep, but bathrooms are old and fixtures are falling apart—our showerhead was broken and water leaked from the wrong end, the tub faucet didn’t work, and similar problems appeared in all six rooms we stayed in. Food service took forever, which was odd since we visited in the off‑peak season when the hotel was almost empty.
