The room was excellent—clean as a surgical operating room, the staff were top‑level, and the breakfasts were great. The location is also fantastic. If I ever return to Istanbul, I’ll definitely stay at this hotel again.

The Sunlight Hotel, Istanbul, is located 500 metres from the seafront in Sultanahmet. Its terrace offers panoramic Bosphorus views. Ottoman-style rooms, renovated in 2020, feature modern amenities and free Wi-Fi. Air-conditioned rooms have satellite TV, minibar, and en-suite bathrooms. Traditional Turkish breakfast is served buffet-style. Historic sites like Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar are within walking distance.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough. The location is absolutely fantastic—many of Istanbul’s most beautiful and important historical landmarks and tourist attractions are within easy reach, so I could explore the city without long travel. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and welcoming; my room was very comfortable, everything was well‑maintained, and the cleanliness was evident throughout. The breakfast was excellent, with a lovely selection of food to start the day, and the restaurant’s food was delicious, freshly prepared, and enjoyable. What really sets this hotel apart is its staff: every member was kind, polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their professionalism and willingness to help made me feel comfortable and appreciated. I especially want to thank the hotel manager, Umut, for his exceptional professionalism, kindness, hospitality, and dedication; he truly makes guests feel welcome.

The hosts were warm, friendly, and eager to make us feel welcome, so we’ll happily return! The location is very close to the big bazaar and very convenient. I didn’t like the coffee or the cold drinks served at the table; their attitude was a bit off‑beat and unpleasant. The rooms were tiny, but for the price/quality ratio I’d recommend them.

Het hotel was dicht bij het centrum alles op wandel afstand het personeel was heel vriendelijk en de kamers en ruimtes waren probeer ontbijt was goed

Perfect location in the heart of Istanbul. It is within walking distance of Sultanahmet Square and numerous establishments and restaurants. The bathroom is quite small, and it wasn't as clean as expected. On the upper floors, hot water takes too long to arrive
