“Wonderful! Wish we had stayed longer!”
We were pleasantly surprised by B&B La Forge, staying there for three nights in August with a group of nine people. We booked both “rooms” on the property; the larger one would have sufficed for both families, offering plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and a huge kitchen. The smaller one is on the lower floor with a separate entrance. Both were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The hostess was wonderful—kind, accommodating, and informative. When we asked if she had a fondue set, she happily supplied two pots, flames, and even the gel candles for the flames. Our only regret was not extending our stay. The only downside for those unaccustomed to European mountain villages is the narrow access: a single‑car bridge right up the road and a steep downhill to the accommodation. Google Maps initially pointed us to the wrong spot—down the dirt road near the address—which made us a bit uneasy, but parking and access to the property are actually fine.
