The fire pit party outside was insanely loud and woke us up after midnight; I called the front desk, and Neil just said the guests outside were enjoying the amenities, even though we told him they had already woken us and it was still loud after 30 minutes. He kept insisting they were having a good time. Later I saw the fire pit still smoldering with no fire extinguishers nearby, and I expected security or the front desk to have poured water over the burning wood. The front desk attendant didn’t care that a loud group had disturbed us after midnight. We’d driven 13 hours to the hotel to attend a family birthday party early in the morning, so we were wiped out and exhausted all day. The breakfast was very good with plenty of coffee to kickstart us, and room service was also very good. The hotel is close to Hilton’s headquarters, yet no one seemed to oversee what was happening.
