“Disappointing wellness/spa experience”

The breakfast was good and varied, and the lady at the restaurant during breakfast was very nice. The guesthouse’s location is very good. We chose this place for its wellness/spa area and its location, but when we checked in at 4:00 PM—exactly when the check‑in window opens—we learned that the wellness area was already fully booked and we couldn’t use it; no prior notice had mentioned that advance reservations were required. Cleanliness was also lacking: the bathroom, especially the shower faucet, was simply dirty.

The pension was nice, the surroundings very pretty, plenty of activities, and the reception staff was friendly. The room we had was very small, which would not have been a problem, but because we were there during a warm period, it was hard to ventilate; the windows were too small and the roof vent couldn’t be opened at all—perhaps other rooms were larger. The price seemed relatively high for the quality we received.

The location was good, the staff pleasant, and the breakfasts excellent. I had booked a matrimonial bed, but it wasn’t available; the room was tiny, the sink was in the shower, the window above the kitchen let all the steam and smells drift into the room, and the door to room 201 seemed as if it had just been finished.
