Sun Hostel

Great hostel for the price! Everything was clean, cozy, comfortable, and the staff were friendly. A solid choice for budget stays. I recommend it!

The beds are comfortable, they have curtains for privacy, and the lockers are spacious. There’s a well-equipped kitchen. The bathrooms are simple, but they have hot water and enough space for your stuff. The location is good. It’s very hard to find the hostel because the address is wrong. When I tried to contact the hostel for help, the receptionist didn’t speak English and didn’t care to help me. Some people who live in the hostel are very rude to travelers. They don’t respect those of us in the dorm and turn on the lights very late at night. The hostel management does nothing to improve this or set rules.

I want to share a sincere review of this wonderful place. Sun Hostel pleasantly surprised me with its cleanliness, cozy atmosphere, and especially the people who work here. What really makes it special is the staff. They are so open, friendly, and warm that you feel more than just a guest, you feel genuinely welcomed. I especially want to thank Jazeera Apay and Mahabbat. ❤️ Thank you for your warmth, sincere smiles, care, and human approach. These people can turn an ordinary place into a truly cozy one and leave the most pleasant impressions. Sometimes in travels you remember not the place itself but the people you meet. Thanks to people like you, Sun Hostel leaves something more than just a good impression. I wish you many grateful guests, prosperity, and all the best! May your kindness return to you double.

The hostel’s location is convenient, everything nearby. The beds are fairly comfortable. The downside was a very unpleasant young woman at reception. I checked in during the day with an adult woman, and she even covered all the bedding myself. I went out for a walk and when I returned, someone had moved into my room. When I asked, she launched into an attack from her side. It seemed like a staff error because they didn’t pass the information along. When I pointed out the issue, she left politely and tried to make it seem like I was at fault. She even said “don’t speak to me like that.” The quiet rule after 22 or 23 doesn’t really work in the rooms; it depends on the guests. Some people stay long and can be noisy. The upper and lower beds have different prices, which I’ve never seen before; it wasn’t mentioned when booking. The upper shelves aren’t closed and are uncomfortable in the light.

“It is cheap for a reason. If you book, expect a VERY basic stay.”

The staff were helpful, and we were able to get laundry washed and dried in one night for cheap. The bathrooms, particularly the showers, were grimy and unclean. It definitely was more of a half-way house, and people were living their long term. We weren’t given proper bedding until we asked for it or towels
