The building’s illuminated façade and its history were nice, but the second‑floor balconies were steep, the bathroom smelled stale, there were no breakfasts, and the elevator didn’t work.

The villa was beautiful, the area was calm and green, the beds were comfortable, and the owner was easy to reach. However, the long list of issues—an unused elevator, a rear entrance that was hard to find at night, no breakfast, only two chairs in the three‑person room, a missing bedside lamp, a clogged shower drain that filled up in seconds, unwashed dishes and a worn sponge left by previous guests, a broken TV, a rushed cleaning that left the room otherwise tidy, and a dusty trail behind the villa—made the stay feel less cared for than the renovation suggested.

The building had just been renovated, and we were surprised that such a historic structure could become so beautiful. It was clean, quiet, elegant, had a parking area underneath, a contactless service, and key‑code entry.

It was great that we could enter with a code at any time of day or night, but it was a shame that the rooms had those steep slants.
