I stayed at a comfy motel right in the heart of Cleveland, and it was easy to see all the city’s attractions. They had plenty of towels, tea, and coffee, and a fridge in the room. The swimming pool looked good, and the place was clean and fairly modern. The only downside was a cold shower the first night, which warmed up by the next morning. The walls were thin, so you could hear people talking outside.

The room was comfortable and clean, which suited our needs. Our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator, and combined with the 65‑year‑old knees of an old soldier, getting to our room was, interestingly, a challenge.

Checking in was a breeze, and the rooms are always kept clean. Occasionally, when guests close their doors, they slam them shut.

The staff were fantastic, offering friendly service and useful travel tips. We left a jacket in the room by accident, but they kept it safe until we could retrieve it. The room sat on a main street, so the blinds had to stay closed for privacy, which cut out natural light.
