“מלון מקסים”
The hotel is charming with a large central garden and a beautiful view, almost like a resort village. It’s a bit far from the city of Gijó, but we wanted a nice seaside spot. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to serve guests. The rooms are located on two‑storey buildings, large and very nice. Breakfast is served in the room with a sea view and includes vegetables, eggs, kimchi pancakes, yogurt, breads, pastries, juices, and coffee. There is also Asian food for those who prefer it. In the rooms, there’s little light, even in the shower (hard to apply makeup) and near the bed. The entrance light turns on automatically when there’s motion, and when you wake up at night it can be a bit annoying. In second‑floor rooms, the top window has no curtain, so morning light floods in. There’s no door between the shower/toilet area and the room, and the glass doors of the toilet/shower aren’t fully sealed, which can feel a bit awkward if a friend is in the room. There’s also no place to hang clothes near the shower or hang towels after use. A long mirror is missing in the room (there’s a small one in the shower area). Another issue—the toilet instructions are written in Korean, but you can translate them with Google Translate.
