Family‑run Hotel del Prado sits just outside Puigcerdà in the Catalan Pyrenees, offering free Wi‑Fi and easy access to the town centre and nearby ski resorts such as La Molina. Guests enjoy en‑suite rooms with satellite TV, heating, and views of landscaped gardens, a tennis court, children’s play area, and an outdoor pool. The on‑site restaurant highlights regional cuisine with seasonal local ingredients.

Location and free parking are good. The bed is comfortable and you can get extra pillows. Very quiet. The room and bathroom have little light. The shower is a bit awkward and water splashes outside the tray. The wall‑mounted hair dryer doesn’t dry well and stops quickly.

The gardens, parking, and overall cleanliness and attention are good. The restaurant staff only speak Spanish. Communicating with diners is hard; they should be required to speak at least Catalan and English. The communication feels uncomfortable. There were Germans, Brits, and Catalans, and it was the guests who had to make the effort, not the staff. Disappointing.

The hotel is great, the staff are attentive, the location is good, and the pool is nice. Plus, when we arrived we were given an upgraded room with a terrace and stunning views.
