The hotel was very quiet and very friendly, the staff were very courteous and helpful, and Virginia thanked us for the wonderful stay. There was nothing negative.

We struggled to find Martahaus, but after a phone call the issue was resolved; the reception lady kindly let us park in the rear garden and also recommended a nearby restaurant; the breakfast room was very quiet and the breakfast was excellent.

It’s simply an extraordinary house, a hotel right in the middle of a retirement home—something you have to like, it offers everything a hotel should and adds the benefit of supporting a good cause. The only downside was that mustard was missing at breakfast 😁, but we didn’t ask for it 😉
