Narrara Backpackers Hobart

The place is old but it worked fine, there were no problems or discomfort; the staff were very kind, the room wasn’t noisy and had a wide window, I slept well and it felt cozy. The location is a bit far and the staff weren’t always present, which made me a little uneasy, but storing luggage was no issue.

The location is good, it feels like home, there’s a 24‑hour kitchen, a very homely living room, and a dining area shared with others. The place is so clean that if you wanted to dirty it you’d feel bad and wouldn’t do it. The owner/host Mo is a great person who helps with anything you need. The street has steep inclines; walking back and forth can be exhausting, but that’s not a reason not to go; it’s an excellent spot.

“Great little backpackers and a neat little room for Mother and daughter to stay.”

I loved the painting outside and the street vibe matched the photo on my phone. I was amazed by all the steps and stairs; the room was pleasant and tidy. The front door’s stained glasswork needs proper fixing, not just sticky tape. The kitchen could use a refresh. The toilets on the top floor could use an upgrade. It felt a little uncomfortable.

Mo is very kind, always trying to help and make you feel comfortable. The room and common area were always clean 👌 and it’s close to the CBD.
