“Bad”
I’m writing to formally complain about our recent stay at Langebaan Boutique Hotel and Spa, where we expected the quality, comfort, cleanliness, and professional service that a 5‑star hotel promises. Instead, we encountered a series of issues: 1. Poor service and inadequate staffing; 2. No reception service on arrival; 3. Poor cleanliness; 4. Maintenance problems—shower leaking, damaged furniture, and visible lack of upkeep; 5. Faulty equipment—the TV remote was broken; 6. Missing guest amenities—no bathrobes or slippers; 7. Inadequate refreshments—no milk or proper coffee facilities; 8. Disappointing breakfast—no buffet, food served cold, overall service poor; 9. Limited breakfast selection—no fresh fruit; 10. Substandard coffee service—instant coffee only, which is disappointing for a luxury‑positioned hotel. These problems raise serious concerns about the hotel’s management, maintenance, cleanliness, and service standards. A 5‑star rating sets an expectation of exceptional hospitality, attention to detail, well‑maintained facilities, and professional guest service, but our experience fell far short.
