The room’s size was a plus. The room is at the bottom of a garage, has a water‑damage‑like smell, a mini fridge that’s burnt and just emits heat, a broken shower and dirty, the hand shower had a crack and water was leaking from the handle. This place wasn’t exactly what I had imagined.

The owner was friendly! Everything else was fine, but the room is in a garage.

The room was damp, so the sheets stayed wet. It was on the garden floor with a tiny barred window that actually sits below the floor level. The mini fridge boiled like a heater. The shower was dirty and splashed back; the shower head was broken and the shower mat was so grimy I didn’t even put my feet on it. Repairs were makeshift. The bed shifted so much that it felt like it could break with any movement. There was no quiet at all – the owners’ footsteps and loud conversations carried through the night until past midnight, and by 7 am a child was playing right outside the window. Honestly, I rarely leave comments, but this experience was truly awful.
