The view faces the rice paddies. The three nearby mosques wake you up at 4:30 am, the bathroom floods, the bathroom door is hard to open and close, breakfast is very light, and the staff don't resolve the issues raised at check‑in.

The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot. The location was nice, with a beautiful view, and the cabins were luxurious. Nothing else to complain about – I'm very satisfied.

Staying right on the doorstep of a rice field was a unique experience, yet still within walking distance of the main attractions. The staff were friendly, and the tent unit included an ensuite shower room and a western‑style toilet. Breakfast offered a choice of three items: banana pancake, omelette, or traditional rice, plus tea or coffee. A large mineral water container with a pump was in the unit, so you could have as much as you needed – a nice touch. The only downside was the limited number of electrical sockets in the room. Light sleepers might notice the dawn chorus from the nearby mosques between 4.30 and 5.30am, but that just added to the experience for me.

The rooms were cool and aesthetic, with a comfortable bed and good amenities. Breakfast quality was good, though there was a slight miscommunication about timing. When we checked in, we were offered banana pancakes at 10am because we had just arrived after a very long 16‑hour bus from Bukittinggi and wanted to sleep in. Unfortunately, at 9:30 we found a very cold tiffin outside our door that had been there for over an hour. We mentioned the issue and it was resolved quickly. The next day, breakfast arrived on time, was yummy and hot – no complaints. The staff were helpful and kind, even helping us book a local bus to Padang. The fan was mounted on the wall far from the bed, so we couldn’t feel the air; a stand‑alone fan would be better. Also, there was no hot water, despite being told there would be – not a big deal on a hot day.

Cozy and comfortable. The view was the only drawback.
