“Experiencia en una casa-museo”
It was true luxury to stay in this palatial house with centuries of history, in a quiet setting that once housed the Civil Guard and a Spanish ambassador. Thanks to Ana María, the owner, for showing us every part of the house, filled with memories and impressive historical pieces collected on her travels, and for explaining the details of its past – a real museum. The staff were friendly and attentive, although you had to search around the house to find them. The rooms and spaces were clean. On the downside, it does not match a 4‑star hotel for €150 a night; it cannot be compared to a parador, it lacks any of the services and comforts you’d expect from such an establishment, and breakfast does not justify €15. The room is small (the double superior is not 35 m²), and the bathroom is outdated and would need a renovation to be more functional and comfortable.
