Hotel Ponte Sisto, a former monastery in central Rome, overlooks a peaceful courtyard with a fountain, palm trees, and a buffet breakfast area. The hotel is 350m from Campo de' Fiori, a 10-minute walk from Piazza Navona, and close to public transportation, with Trastevere district across the Tiber River.

The place sits right next to Ponte Sisto and across from Trastevere, making it a solid base for exploring Rome’s landmarks or just strolling around. The room was spacious with plenty of storage, and the bed, while firm, was comfortable. The staff were excellent, and breakfast hit every mark. There was nothing to complain about.

The hotel is in a striking location, and a short walk gets you to the main sights. The breakfast was tasty.

The location is fine. They gave me a very small room with a single bed that barely left room to move. The room was adapted for disabled guests, with a large bathroom, but it was uncomfortable because the toilet was right next to the shower, which was open and leaked water everywhere. This type of room isn’t practical for anyone who doesn’t need those accommodations.

The spot and the courtyard are nice. The furnishings in the room and bathroom feel a bit outdated.

The hotel is cute, offers good breakfast and cocktails. The photo made me think it had a great view and stood alone, but it’s actually tucked down an alley in the middle of a block, facing another wall. The area is heavily graffiti‑covered, which locals don’t seem to mind, but it wasn’t the vibe I expected coming from Chicago.
