The location was superb, just a short walk from the train station and main attractions; the patio and guest lounge were comfortable, perfect for relaxing and watching the River Ouse, and the host was very friendly—overall excellent value for money.

The spot is right on the river in the middle of York, and the room is roomy with a fridge that’s a real bonus. The shower’s great, and the host is super helpful and knows a lot about the area.

The room was spotlessly clean and offered a river view. The owner was extremely friendly and gave great tips on local cafés, restaurants, and attractions. Walking to the city centre takes just a few minutes, and a short stroll across the bridge lets you see trains coming and going from your window. They have a nice selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and oat milk. The neighbourhood is quiet with minimal street noise.

The location is fantastic and everything is within walking distance. The room is small, but the host thoughtfully provided snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate. The kettle has a mysterious loose layer inside; it would be wise to check it regularly.

The place is close to the station and the city centre. It feels like a personal, genuine guesthouse with a friendly owner. The TV didn’t work when we arrived.
