We had booked a room with a garden view, yet the one we received faced the road. The bed was worn out, so we asked for a different room, which also faced the road. Both rooms were in terrible condition and unhygienic. The shower was so hot it couldn’t be used, the evening meal was very poor, and breakfast was even worse. Dreadful.

The breakfast’s highlight was the excellent kippers. The apartment’s decoration felt a bit old and tired, but it was clean and functional, so it was acceptable.

The location was good, and the staff at both the reception and the restaurant were friendly and welcoming. It was ideal for exploring that part of the Severn Valley.
