We received a very warm welcome and the owner was charming; breakfast in the restaurant had a small wood fire, creating a cozy and snug atmosphere. My partner and I, alone, truly enjoyed the quiet since the hotel doesn’t face the main street. The room was comfortable and very clean, and we’ll almost certainly return in winter for cross‑country skiing or snowshoeing because we can walk from the hotel and do several short hikes without a vehicle. The only suggestion would be to have a small kettle in the room for making tea in the evening.

The welcome was pleasant and the staff were helpful, but the cleanliness needed improvement—shower and floor were not clean, bedding was okay. The place was old, didn’t match the listing photos, and overall cleanliness was lacking.
