Everything feels a bit dated, but it’s solid. The shower curtain, old bathroom, and basic Ikea furniture are drawbacks.

The hotel’s location right on the Lahn was very nice, and you could also dine at the hotel. The value for money does not match what one would expect for the price; I think the price is heavily inflated. The rooms were very small, the washbasins were beside the bed, the beds were very hard, and it wasn’t all that clean, not to mention the warped floor that made you feel odd. The rooms were also very noisy to the neighboring rooms. You could hear a strong water sound, probably from the shower in the adjacent room, which was very disturbing in the middle of the night.

On Monday we got a room even though the house was otherwise closed, and an extra staff member came in to help. Nice roof terrace.

The hotel is centrally located right on the Lahn and within walking distance of the train station on the Lahntalbahn. It’s an ideal stopover for hikes on the Lahn hiking trail, the Lahnhöhenweg, or the E1 between Westerwald and Taunus. The attached restaurant offers a good, balanced menu. Overall satisfied, except one outlet in the room was loose.
