The historic hotel was lovely, the bed very comfortable, and the shower was great; the bar had a great singer during my stay. Parking was in the public car park, which felt a little sketchy to me, but my oldish car was fine overnight; that’s not really the property itself.

I missed breakfast but the smell was wonderful, it was lovely to stay with my two dogs, the place was quiet, and I loved the balcony and bi‑folding doors; however, the coffee‑making facilities could have been on a better table and I would have preferred a bath instead of a shower.
