L'orchidea Amalfi Coast in Maiori provides direct beachfront access, a lush garden, and a spacious terrace with free Wi‑Fi throughout. Air‑conditioned rooms offer private bathrooms, garden views, kitchenettes and washing machines. Guests enjoy daily Italian breakfast with fresh pastries and outdoor seating. Maiori Beach lies two minutes away; Amalfi Cathedral and Villa Rufolo are each ten kilometres distant.

The location was great, the vibe was authentic and the architecture beautiful, giving it a beach‑getaway feel, and the air conditioning worked well. However, there was no wifi and the host didn’t fix it, which made it hard to work. I stayed for 6 nights and felt the place was unhygienic because I couldn’t vacuum or clean, the small bins needed changing, more toilet paper was required, and the mini fridge was broken.

The spot was in the center, quiet, clean, and everything was close by. I had constant contact with the owner who was helpful in every situation, so I recommend it. On the downside, I understand that vacations aren’t about watching TV, but when important events like World Cup matches come up, a Smart TV would be a big plus. The regular TV without internet prevented us from watching the broadcast, so it would be good to replace it with a Smart TV in the future.

The apartment was large, spotless, and the owner’s family was friendly. The kitchen and washing machine were well equipped, it was on the main road in the city center, and shops and restaurants were nearby. It was just a 5‑minute walk to the beach, and there were no complaints.

I had breakfast at the nearby pastry shop, enjoyed the quiet of the sleeping area, the scenery, and the friendliness of the people. A few signs at tourist entrances and street names were missing.
