Athlone Springs Hotel

The hotel was spacious with good equipment and very friendly staff, a good bed, and very quiet. I didn’t use the spa. They offered a free water bottle and a great a‑la‑cart breakfast. There was a free, large parking lot. On closer inspection, the rooms were a bit dated. It was clean, but I had to scrape the corners around the bathroom mirror—those little details bother me personally. Still, the hotel keeps its horizontal surfaces clean, which, according to my own hotel statistics of about 200 stays over the past three years (post‑Corona), is something that 90 % of hotels consistently fail to achieve, apparently due to a global agreement among cleaning staff. So here it’s very pleasing.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! I had to drive to the main town, but I was aware of that beforehand.

The location was easy to reach, the room was comfortable, the restaurant/food was good, and the staff were excellent. The leisure centre could use a bit of renovation, though the staff were still excellent.

“Perfect relaxing family break”

The rooms were clean and fresh, and I loved the pool; all the staff were excellent. The relaxing atmosphere and fresh decor were superb. The only issue was that the sausages at breakfast could be upgraded to a higher quality. Everything else was perfect.
