I found the place perfect as a base: rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast area had a fridge and toaster. Parking was ample and the location made exploring easy, plus the price offered good value.

The weekend of The Great North Run was available and the accommodation was clean, warm, and had plenty of hot water for a bath, plus the room was very large. I had misread the details and assumed there were cooking facilities because the fridge was prominent in the photos and plates and cutlery were provided; adding a tabletop induction hob would have been easy.
