The room was comfy, but there was an attempt to influence my review: a staff member was especially friendly to get me to give a high rating, and I realized other guests had succumbed to that pressure because the comments were overly flattering. The breakfast was the worst I’ve had among the seven hotels I’ve stayed in China, and neither the lounge nor the quality met my expectations.

The rooms felt a bit old‑fashioned, the breakfast spread was very basic and poorly arranged, yet the rooms stayed clean and good for sleeping; they’re a little off the central area but the location is solid.

The hotel runs smoothly and the staff are friendly; the on‑site self‑service laundry and breakfast are fine, but the same breakfast is offered every day and western guests are left without knives for buttering toast, only chopsticks or tiny forks and spoons—ever tried spreading Vegemite with a minuscule plastic fork? 🤣🤣
