It was perfect for us, we’ll definitely come back, and it was nice that the outdoor pool was still open.

The hotel’s location was great as a starting point. Breakfast offered a variety of breads and rolls from the baker, and you could choose between filter coffee and other coffee types. The breakfast hours were unusually long, running until 12 pm every day, and the sauna was open daily with free water and tea provided. The guest card, paid with the tourist tax, included free rides on bus, train, and ferries—except the ferry to Rathen. The fitness room was decent for a hotel. However, the selection of cold cuts and cheeses was too limited; only 2–3 varieties were available each day. In the sauna area, there were no towels laid out for use; only one large shower towel was available, and it was short and only replaced upon request. The quiet zone was not cozy. In the fitness room, a different floor covering would be better because the floor is very slick and you can slip easily on the mat.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of dishes and drinks. A pleasant bonus was champagne and free tickets for buses and trams. The sauna and gym were good. We recommend visiting to see the beautiful views of Saxon Switzerland and to take a boat ride on the Elbe.

Everything was very good. We especially liked the late‑night breakfast, exactly what night owls need.
