The price was fair and the location great, but the television didn’t work and the bed was made of two beds pushed together.

The place was central and quiet, but it was very difficult to get the key and there was no person there to communicate with, making it hard to get help.

The location was good, the room was charming with a nice channel view, but there was no lockbox, the air‑conditioning didn’t work, and the room was hot.

I’ve never had such a horrible experience at a hotel. The problems began before check‑in. The hotel’s online check‑in was already tedious and unnecessarily complicated. Two days before my arrival I got WhatsApp links from the hotel to complete the online check‑in, which I did. Then another WhatsApp message from a different number sent a link asking me to pay an “insurance” fee described as a temporary authorization. I followed the process, and halfway through I was asked to re-enter my card details and pay for the room. That immediately raised a red flag. I stopped the process before completing the payment and realized this was clearly an attempted scam. What’s worse is that the scammers had highly specific information about my reservation, including my name, phone number, reservation number, room number, and even the room type. This is not random information a stranger could easily guess. It strongly suggests that my personal and reservation information was compromised through the hotel or its systems. I had to cancel my bank card mid‑trip to protect myself, causing significant inconvenience for the rest of my trip. I immediately contacted the hotel. Their response was essentially that they had been hacked and that there was nothing they could do – no meaningful assistance, no proper solution, no real accountability. They simply acknowledged the breach and said, in effect, “sorry.” It gets even worse. I contacted customer service because I no longer felt safe staying at this property. The hotel apparently told them that only my reservation number had been leaked. This is simply not true. The scammers had information far beyond the reservation number, including my personal contact details and specific room information.

I really enjoyed my stay here, even though the room cleaning on the first day was awful. I’d gladly return. The location was perfect for me, walking easily to the Arsenale and Ospedale stops, and from there I could reach the airport, Murano, Burano, San Marco, Giudecca, or Lido. Walking to San Marco square was straightforward. Around the apartment there were many great, inexpensive restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. The apartment itself was cozy and quite quiet, with the canal right outside the window and not much traffic on it – the kind of quiet Venice people dream about. :-) Many reviews complained about heat, but I was there in October and it was wonderful. In the lounge there’s a small kitchen; in the evenings I made tea and drank it in my room, looking out at the canal. The bed was very comfortable. On arrival, the room was cleaned terribly: there were someone’s black hair and dust all over the floor, both in the bedroom and the bathroom, and a dirty shoe print on the shower floor. I photographed everything but didn’t post the photos to keep the overall positive vibe. It was clear the bed had been made and towels hung, but the floor wasn’t vacuumed or washed. When I mentioned this in the chat with the management, they responded quickly and on the second day the room was cleaned to perfection. Dear owners, you need to supervise your staff more closely, especially before guests arrive. Also, a very important point: upon check‑in, guests must take keys from the key box, but the key boxes are inside a cabinet whose doors are almost always closed. I had to search long for the key boxes because the instructions didn’t say to open the cabinet first, and the cabinet doors have no handles – they can only be opened from the top. I’m tall enough to reach, but other guests might not be able to open them. Please add handles to the cabinet doors and mention the cabinet in the check‑in instructions. I don’t want to spoil the high rating of your apartments, but please consider my comments.
